Bhajan Lala Sharma Biography: Rajasthan Chief Minsiter

The recent election outcomes in Rajasthan unveiled a noteworthy twist as the state elevated a relatively unknown candidate to the esteemed position of the 14th Chief Minister. In a surprising turn of events, Rajasthan chose this low-profile leader over more veteran politicians.

The BJP, strategically diversifying its leadership across states, opted for an upper-caste Brahmin figure in Rajasthan. This decision follows the party’s trend of appointing leaders from tribal communities and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in two other states where it emerged victorious in the recent Assembly elections.

Bhajan Lal Sharma, a seasoned politician with deep Sangh connections, has recently assumed office as the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Originating from Sanganer, he serves as the BJP MLA for the Sanganeer Vidhan Sabha constituency. Despite his base in Bharatpur, the party strategically positioned him in Jaipur. Tragically, the demise of Congress candidate Gurmeet Singh Koonar led to the postponement of elections in the Karanpur constituency. Bhajan Lal Sharma is widely acknowledged as the party’s ‘go-to man’ for organizational expertise.
