Sameer App: Complete Info on Indian enoviornment app

Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar in oct 2020 appealed all Indian citizens to download the ‘SAMEER’ mobile application. The app, available Google play store, allows the user to track pollution in realtime.

Features of Sameer App.

  • Sameer Provides the hourly update of the National Air Quality Index (AQI) published by Central Pollution Control Board.
    Air Quality Index is a tool for effective communication of air quality status to people in terms, which are easy to understand. It transforms complex air quality data of various pollutants into a single number, nomenclature and color.
  • This App is also for public to register Complaints related to air pollution.
  • Complaints related to garbage dumping and violation of norms at construction sites could also be submitted via the application.
