The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is expected to launch a mobile app to facilitate LIVE darshan of the deities in the shrine on the occasion of Shardiya Navratri this year.
The Vaishno Devi Mobile App provide a platform to take the darshan of the Mother Goddess and watch the aarti . This app would have features to conduct live Yagya.
It works as an offline app, that means you can take Vaishno Devi App where there is no internet connection. Tapping on locations of the map gives you the detailed history of the place, weather information, emergency contact number, full story of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and much more.
Vaishno Devi Mobile App will also help them in getting their registration done before their visit and book for helicopter services, reports suggest. Thus, devotees and pilgrims can pre-book essential services for a hassle-free visit before they begin their journey to Vaishano Devi.
The mobile app will give devotees across the globe to have a virtual visit to the holy shrine which is physically located at the Trikuta Hills near Katra in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
This app will also be useful for those who are travelling or have time constraint to physically be there to take blessings from vaishano Mata. For now it is available only for andriod users.
One of the officials said that the Mobile App provides flexibility so devotees will not miss the ‘Amrit Vela‘ even if they are on the move.”
The temple has remained shut since the first day of lockdown-1 induced by the coronavirus pandemic in the last week of March .It was reopened on 16th august. It allowed as many as 5000 devotees a day, but now, the board has enhanced the limit of pilgrims to 7000.
The holy cave of Mata Vaishno Devi is situated at an altitude of 5200 ft and about 12 kilometers away from the base camp in Katra in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
